Soleda is a women-led entrepreneurial company established in 2021 with 100% domestic capital. It aims to protect the sensitive eyes of babies and children (0-12 and 12-36 months) from the harmful rays of the sun while also striving for a stylish/modern appearance. All Soleda sunglasses have UV-protected and polarized lenses. In response to growing demands, models for ages 3-6, 6-12 and young adults & adults have also been added to the product portfolio.
The entire contents of Soleda packages are manufactured in Turkey. All our products come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
Sustainable Design
The morphology of babies is distinguished most notably by a flat face, protruding cheeks, as well as a small nasal bridge. What’s more, babies are often looking up. That’s why suitable frames should be chosen.The damage caused in childhood is cumulative and predisposes adults to pathologies.
SOLEDA sunglasses have an ultra-resistant, soft frame with a “baby” bridge, and their straight arms allow them to follow the baby’s growth. Unbreakable frame and lenses, perfectly designed for being handled by babies. No pressure on temples or on the nose and no pressing against ears. They help protect our little one’s eyes, from 0 to 12 months for Baby and 12 to 36 months for Kids.
In order to leave a better world for our babies, we’re committed to producing Soleda sunglasses from sustainable bio-based materials which can be produced by biological systems. Our Sunglasses are made from Pebax Elastomers for extremely lightweight, flexible and resilient. They are also BPA-free and hypoallergenic.
Sun Safety
With particular concern to babies, the lens of a baby’s eye is permeable to UVA and doesn’t become impermeable until adulthood. Therefore it’s necessary to protect babies’ retinas with sun filters. It is the most important thing that protect children’s eyes from the sun with our sunglasses.
The American Optometric Association (AOA) recommends that sunglasses for babies should block 99% to 100% of UVA and UVB rays and 75% to 90% of visible light. All SOLEDA sunglasses features CAT III lens which offers 100% UVA/UVB radiation from the sun. The lens also polarised and are made from Tri Acetate Cellulose (TAC) for superior clarity, lightweight and impact resistance.
